Effective project management of our client engagements is mission critical to our client success. The Project Management Office (PMO) Director is responsible for all client engagement execution. This includes proactive leadership of the project managers, client projects, and any escalations. This also includes all operational aspects of true project management; revenue production and forecasting, earned value analysis of all engagements, and ongoing CSAT measurement. The PMO Director provides a level of leadership, training/preparedness, support and mentoring to project managers tailored to their individual needs. Additional responsibilities include the support of sales opportunities and review/approval of deals (SOW dependencies, deliverables and commitments) prior to final signoff. We have a broad portfolio of projects ranging from simple ‘transactional’ projects to complex systems integration types of projects leveraging partners for specific portions of work.

The ideal candidate has a broad understanding of online marketing and CRM deployment domain knowledge. Excellent communication skills and the ability to gain the respect of the project managers and motivate them through difficult situations is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Support of sales opportunities to qualify, estimate, and develop the detailed planning package
  • Staffing of project managers to incoming opportunities
  • Implementation, operation and continued improvement of project management processes including: CSAT surveys and corrective actions, proactive scope management, project planning and tracking (i.e., Earned Value Analysis), periodic project reviews
  • Forecast and achieve revenue targets
  • Provide project management leadership, mentoring, training, and support for ~20 Project Managers
  • Understand and maintain/improve customer satisfaction
  • Constantly improve the client experience and PM practices

Distinguishing Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong Project Management/leadership expertise (including planning, execution and motivation)
  • Demonstrated excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation and  facilitation skills
  • Online marketing and CRM domain experience
  • Process oriented with strong operational focus
  • Familiarity with PSA systems and MS Office
  • Responsive to, and early adopter of, change
  • Constant sense of urgency

Education Minimum Required:

BS/BA College degree

Extensive Project Management and People Management Training (or equivalent)

Experience Minimum Required:

7 years direct project management experience

5 years direct PMO leadership experience
