We are seeking an HR Manager to join our team in Austin, Texas. This is an opportunity to be part of an exciting, growing and successful company.

As the HR Manager the selected candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining close partnerships with business leaders and serve as a change agent, HR functional expert and advisor and finally lead and contribute to business initiatives that will enhance motivation and teambuilding. The qualified individual will support the entire organization  by providing counsel and direction for leveraging talent around their business strategies. This role combines “hands-on” day to day operational human resources with strategic client advisory. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a technology, start-up organization and will bring with them ideas that encourage and enhance our employees work life experiences.  


  • Create and institute new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements inefficiency of the HR function and the company as a whole.
  • Develop and implement employee relations activities and employee rewards programs to
    engage and retain the workforce.
  • Monitor and facilitate performance evaluation program. Update and revise as necessary.
  • Maintain Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records and provide ad-hoc reporting to management team as requested.
  • Manage entire employment lifecycle, including workforce planning, recruitment, job analysis, interviewing, new employee on boarding, and employee exits.
  • Provide guidance and counseling to managers and employees through difficult or
    sensitive situations.
  • Administer various HR plans and procedures for all company personnel; maintain employee handbook.
  • Perform ongoing benefits administration, including change reporting, monthly invoice reconciliation, communication of benefits information to employees, work with benefits broker to monitor and tweak benefits plans, etc.
  • Ensure company-wide compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.


  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of human resources
  • Comfortable in a quickly changing, fast paced, high-tech environment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and a level head and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ideally strong working knowledge of ADP’s Workforce Now (formerly HRB) and ideally also their  ezLaborManager time and attendance software
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years human resources experience
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred
