ATX Innovation produces TabbedOut, a remote presentment and payment system for the hospitality industry. ATX Innovation is seeking to expand its team in various areas including Engineering. TabbedOut currently runs on iPhone and Android, with infrastructure and integration components running on Linux and Windows.

Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Marketing will develop and manage strategies and initiatives for product marketing, channel marketing, and market communications.  As a member of the company’s executive team, The VP of Marketing will develop and implement business plans, strategies and tactics to attain corporate objectives.  S/he will work closely with the CTO and VP’s of Sales and Product Management to define product vision, roadmap, features and functionality. This position requires a strong leader with a focus on execution.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop the company’s marketing communications and brand strategy and manage the corresponding plans and initiatives through subordinate staff.
  • Monitor, develop and manage the company’s pricing strategies to ensure consistency with market realities and to maximize the company’s profitability.
  • Oversee development of print and electronic advertising programs that are consistent with the company’s marketing strategy.
  • Participate in strategic planning and development of the company’s annual operating and long term plans.
  • Manage the Marketing process and programs, including Product Marketing, Marketing Communications, Trade Show/Event management, and Channel Marketing
  • Work closely with Sales to provide lead support, sales tools and event planning that facilitate meeting sales targets and objectives.
  • Oversee market research and make recommendations to meet the challenges of competitive pressures.
  • In partnership with the VP of Product Management, participate in addressing product lifecycle issues, including product launches, competitive analysis, forecasting, pricing and end-of-life communications.
  • Develop benchmark criteria to measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing programs.
  • Participate as appropriate in industry events and trade shows, maximizing the opportunity for branding and demand generation. Hold events with customers, partners and prospects to build brand awareness, develop sales prospects and strengthen customer relationships.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the computer products industry (hardware, software, or solutions) – with a successful and progressive track record.
  • B-to-C expertise is essential – a successful track record of creative consumer acquisition programs
  • Strategic partner program development
  • Previous experience with high tech product management/marketing is required.
  • Strong experience in CRM database usage and pipeline management.
  • Effective use of analytics to drive brand penetration
  • Understanding and utilization of social media strategies to drive meaningful awareness and measurable revenue sources
  • Successful co-marketing and leveraged marketing programs through and with channels, partners, resellers.

Applicants should have:

  • BS degree in Marketing or equivalent, MBA preferred.
  • Proven ability to interface effectively with Sales, Development, Finance and other functions.
  • Strong ability to engage, motivate, coach and develop a Marketing team.
  • Ability to represent the company externally at an executive, board level.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proven track record of successful implementations of marketing programs.
  • Mobile payment, point of sale expertise a plus
  • Prior experience with brand placement and market penetration
  • Experience positioning consumer solutions in the San Francisco and New York markets a plus
