SAP Organizational Change Strategy Senior Consultant – US-Nationwide

The SAP Organizational Change Senior Consultant provides the people and organizational focus that helps enable benefits through a deliberate and strategic program to both manage change and enable the business transformation. SAP Organization Change uses IBM’s base change management framework, consulting skills, business knowledge, processes, measurements & tools to analyze organizational change issues and drive SAP solutions that transform the client’s business. Responsibilities include developing strategy and detailed plans, then delivering across the various SAP Org Change workstreams: change management, benefits realization, communication, stakeholder management, organization design, and culture transformation.

The SAP Org Change consultant often leads the change management team and manages relationships with client change management counterparts in complex environments. This is a hands-on delivery role, not an account management or business development role.

Preferred candidates will have prior consulting experience, with preference to global consulting firms, as well as Communications Sector industry experience (Energy & Utilities, Media & Entertainment, and Telecommunications).

Required

  • At least 2 years experience in in-depth SAP organizational design and transition.
  • At least 2 years experience in creating and executing a change strategy plan.
  • At least 2 years experience in developing and executing organization alignment.
  • At least 2 years experience in communications strategy and planning.
  • Readiness to travel up to 70%; traveling 3-4 days a week, home on weekends

Preferred

  • At least 4 years experience in In-depth SAP organizational design and transition.
  • At least 4 years experience in creating and executing a change strategy plan.
  • At least 4 years experience in developing and executing Organization Alignment.
  • At least 4 years experience in communications strategy and planning.

Additional Information

As the majority of our work is performed at client sites with significant travel required, applicants must live near major metropolitan airports.

The Director Global Strategy position at PayPal is primarily responsible for leading strategic and management consulting projects that deliver measurable value to PayPal. The position is highly visible in the organization and involves frequent interaction with all PayPal staff levels and external stakeholders, including the senior executive team, at the head office and in the regions.

 The position’s responsibilities include:

  • Strategy development: Supports the development and implementation of PayPal’s corporate vision, strategy, and long-term strategic priorities.
  • Strategic execution: Structures and leads complex strategic projects for senior management. Facilitates cross-functional and cross-regional teams. Performs strategic analysis and problem solving. Prepares and delivers executive-level presentations 
  • Thought leadership: Leads “research” type engagements to develop and articulate PayPal’s position on long-term strategic issues
  • Growth strategy: Leads projects to assess and kick-start growth opportunities
  • Market intelligence:  Develops insightful market intelligence about key industry trends (technology, competitors, consumers, regulatory, etc.) and informs the organization of their strategic implications

STRUCTURE

The position reports to the Head of PayPal Strategy in the Strategy and Corporate Development Group

JOB REQUIREMENTS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Top strategy consulting (e.g. BCG, McKinsey or Bain) or top corporate strategy/innovation experience, combined with relevant industry experience, is a must
  • Strategic expertise in at least two of the following areas: banking, payments, retail and online commerce, social networking, social gaming, and mobile
  • Fast-track career development
  • Fun, outgoing, and easy to work with
  • International experience and foreign language skills are a plus

Primary Job Responsibilities 

eBay’s Corporate Development Team is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing the company’s strategic acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and divestitures. This responsibility is company-wide and global. Since 2004, eBay announced 25 acquisitions for total purchase consideration of approximately $9 billion. Of these transactions, 10 were in North America, 12 in Europe and three in Asia.

Reporting to eBay’s Vice President of Corporate Development, the Sr. Manager will play an important role in supporting the Corporate Development Team’s projects and activities. This will include:  

• Developing and implementing decision-making frameworks for evaluation of acquisition and investment opportunities.
• Identifying and evaluating (both independently and in collaboration with eBay’s Business Units) potential candidates for acquisition or investment.
• Conducting rigorous valuation analyses (using multiple methodologies) and business/integration case modeling in order to provide detailed guidance regarding potential acquisitions or investments.
• Coordinating due diligence reviews of potential candidates, and evaluating the due diligence results.
• Facilitating and managing acquisition and investment processes with cross-functional groups involving persons from our Business Units and our Corporate Strategy, Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Site Operations, Product Management and Product Development teams.  

Job Requirements

• Candidates for the Sr. Manager position should have the following: A BA or BS undergraduate degree, and over 5 years of relevant work experience after graduation. Work experience at a top-tier investment bank, strategy consulting firm or venture capital firm is strongly preferred – MBA and/or experience in a corporation are a plus. The ideal candidate will have a track record of consistent high-level achievement.
• Essential attributes include superior skills in financial and other quantitative analysis, written and oral communication, and the use of Excel and PowerPoint, along with keen attention to detail. Also desirable to have specific experience in acquisition or investment activities, and familiarity with Internet / e-commerce companies.
• Must have a demonstrated ability to work well in a team and with people in other functions, to multi-task and to thrive in an unstructured environment.
• Strong preference for candidates with a high level of energy and enthusiasm, and excellent sense of adventure, fun and humor.
• Understanding of selling and buying on eBay, and use of PayPal is a plus.
